Will be driving or training from Geneva next Wednesday afternoon to arrive in Chur/Arosa by Thursday evening (for business) with my 13 year old daughter. We have one full day and overnight and want to spend it in a French speaking canton doing something unique. Neuchatel sounds perfect. Creux-du-Van looks amazing. But since we will have several days of enjoying the mountains when we get to Arosa, we wanted to instead use the 24 hours to do a lakeside experience where we can speak French with the locals, enjoy shops and outdoor cafes, and maybe visit a castle. If the weather is nice, would love to take a bike ride for a couple of hours and explore paths along the lake to take in the views. Question: To find a hotel in a setting that offers these opportunities, and which loans/rents bikes, should we plan to stay in the city of Neuchatel itself, or should we look at some of other villages along the lake or Murtensee lake? All of the TA reviews I find here in this section are for the "Lac de Neuchatel", but I don't see which town/city. Thanks for suggestions! Jamie
