We are staying in Kingswear and want to walk the coastal path to Coleton, our first time on the South West Coastal Path. We walk in the Lakes, so don’t mind the idea of some ups and downs. However, I am a little nervous that there may be some exposed and narrow areas on the path. Can anyone advise if this is the case please? Also how long we can expect the walk to Coleton to take?

We drove and have no first hand experience of the path. However when we were in a recent boat trip beside the site we did notice several people happily walking along the path.

Hi philcaredevon, thanks for your question. To visit during our normal opening hours then members just need to show their card to gain free entry. For any events outside of the normal opening hours, such as Coleton Aglow and outdoor theatre, members will need to purchase a ticket.

Dogs were seen in the grounds but not in the house. Outside cafe area with lots of seating in a pleasant courtyard.
