I'm trying to decide if we should go to the Children's museum on our weekend trip to New Orleans. My children are ages 7, 9 & 12. Is this geared for younger children? As a family of 6 I don't want want to spend $40+ for them to be 'bored'.

My kids are 8 and 5 and love it, but I wonder if 12 is getting just a bit too old for most of the activities. Most sections are sort of role play areas such as pretending you work in a WinnDixie supermarket or live in a Creole cottage in the bayou. I wonder if your time and money wouldn't be better spent at the Audubon Aquarium? I love both attractions, but think your kids might find the kids museum a bit "young". Enjoy your trip!
