We are heading to eminence Missouri this summer for a couple of days and we have two boys ages 13 and 15, my question is someone told me that current river is more of a crazy party situation where everyone on the river is drunk and out of control. I was interested in a relaxing float on the river not inappropriate chaos. Can anyone elaborate on this situation for me please? I’m now wondering if it is an inappropriate place to take my teenage sons?

Try to go in the early to middle week. Also, get on the river early and paddle down aways before taking your time.
