P. Jeffrey Ferris, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified surgeon in general surgery and colorectal surgery at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. A specialist in colon and rectal surgery, Dr. Ferris has extensive experience treating a wide range of disorders using traditional as well as minimally invasive techniques. He is one of a handful of surgeons in the region certified to perform general and colorectal robotic surgery. Among Dr. Ferris's clinical interests are colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's Disease, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, hernias, ulcerative colitis, and other intestinal problems.
