India's central bank on Monday said it will double the quantum of security purchases under its next tranche of open market operation on February 13 to manage the liquidity deficit in the country's banking system.

Projects FY26 inflation at 4.2%, GDP growth at 6.7%

The Indian government has been steadily lowering its full-year real GDP forecasts, after the economic growth missed expectations by a large margin in the quarter ended September, when its grew by 5.4% — its slowest expansion in nearly two years.
