Winter weather warnings have been issued in Washington, Colorado, Idaho, California, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota, Alaska, and Michigan.

On Sunday at 1:29 p.m. an updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Monday at 4 p.m. for Harney County.

AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines told Newsweek: "The storm responsible for the severe weather in the south will move off the New England coast by Saturday morning. Many areas in northern New York, and the northern half of New England will receive an inch or two of snow Friday into Friday night.
