A wave of shock and awe has descended upon the NBA over the past 24 hours as the Dallas Mavericks did the unthinkable by trading away perennial All-Star and last year's scoring champion Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis,

The Dallas Mavericks are really getting it from all directions. After leaving most of the basketball world a mixture of stunned, incredulous and baffled with their trade of superstar Luka Doncic, the questionable decision-making by Mavericks GM Nico Harrison has even carried over into the entertainment world now.

So the Mavs took on the Cavaliers, who own the best record in the East, without multiple starters and dealing with the emotional aftershocks of the transaction. They very clearly felt it, as the team set a new franchise record for worst first quarter performance in the organization's history.
