The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing to bolster their roster for the upcoming season by extending a key defensive player. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, linebacker Nick Bolton and the Chiefs agreed to a three-year $45 million extension with $30 million guaranteed.

Earlier in March, the Chiefs traded starting left guard Joe Thuney, a three-time Pro Bowler, to the Chicago Bears. The move saved the Chiefs $16 million in cap space, which helped free up money for Trey Smith's deal. Although Thuney was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and 2024, he's headed to the Bears to help protect Caleb Willams.
