Texas hires Mark Orphey as safeties coach to replace Blake Gideon
The Texas Longhorns have found their replacement for Blake Gideon, hiring up-and-coming assistant coach Mark Orphey as their new safeties coach. Anwar Richardson of OrangeBloods.com reported Wednesday night that Orphey, formerly the cornerbacks coach at Rutgers, is set to join head coach Steve Sarkisian’s staff in Austin.
