On February 5th, 2025, Robert De Niro was announced as the first cast member. The Academy Award- winning actor recently starred in Netflix’s political thriller Zero Day and previously starred in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman on Netflix.

“ The Whisper Man ” is based on the bestselling 2019 novel by Alex North about a widowed crime writer whose young son is abducted. When he asks his retired police detective father for help, he finds a link to the old case of a serial killer called The Whisper Man.

Robert De Niro is set to star in an upcpming crime thriller titled The Whisper Man , which is being developed for Netflix by AGBO. The film is an adaptation of the Alex North novel of the same name and James Ashcroft ( The Rule of Jenny Pen ) is set to direct,
