Despite some of the negative sentiment surrounding the game, Obsidian's Avowed has had a strong commercial start.

With Avowed underperforming on Steam, many forget that it is also out on the Xbox Game Pass, thanks to the industry's obsession with numbers.

Avowed is the latest release from Obsidian under the wings of Microsoft, and this launch is breaking barriers in gaming in more ways than one. Not only is it the first title from Microsoft Studios to be added to Battle.

Alongside the above post, Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg has also taken to social media to thank fans for making this first-party title the number one selling game in America. The exec also notes a bunch of other regions where Avowed has climbed the charts on Steam:
