When you're in Aldrich Park, you're at the center of campus, the community, and the world. Aldrich Park, the unique hallmark of our campus, is what makes our large research university feel like a small, tight-knit community. When you study at UC Irvine, your future is wide open.

Aldrich Park, named after UC Irvine’s founding chancellor and campus designer, is a 16-acre park in the heart of campus. In addition to a stunning view, Aldrich Park gives students a peaceful place to meet up and hang out in, as well as easy access to every academic school on campus.

Aldrich Park is composed of a network of paved and dirt pathways that connect the campus. Much of Aldrich Park serves as a home for large numbers of thickly wooded trees indigenous to the local Mediterranean climate, and as a whole it is landscaped meticulously.

ASUCI’s Office of Student Services is excited to announce our annual Aldrich Park After Dark concert! It will take place on September 24, 2024. Gates open at 4:00 P.M. and the event is from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M.!

University students use it to shortcut to classroom buildings set on a ring road which organizes the campus. On quiet weekends, Aldrich Park is a dream for adventurous OC kids and families.
