Aug 20, 2023 · D1 on psx was the way to experience Diablo for the first time for me and it felt fantastic. Ps1 version was having better controls, better ui and better graphics but I guess some spells were cut from it (might be wrong here)

Oct 20, 2022 · Gameplay is straight forward and magic items feel powerful since they are much more rare and focused. You don't have bullshit like a sword with 1000 damage vs a sword with 1001 damage. You get a sword with 1-10 damage and that's it. An idiot admires complexity. A genius admires simplicity.

I've only played Diablo 1 once years ago. I played as Warrior since it's the 'canonical' main hero, but tbh I didn't like him very much.

Just got Diablo 1 on gog! My friends I want to play multiplayer. But we'll definitely be apart, as one of us is in a different country. This is possible, right? If so, how do we go about it? We've never done it before. As far as I can tell, we need a battlenet account and then play the classic version and go through battle net.

If I was making an Ironman run my computer would be on for days at a time, Diablo loaded up, so I didn't have horrific issues trying to keep a decent block rate with lousy gear.

Mar 19, 2019 · What I think launch day Diablo 3 needed was a more linear difficulty curve so that there wasn't an Inferno wall or maybe specifically Act 2 Inferno wall, but a more gradual difficulty increase from Hell Act 1 to Inferno Act 4.

Alternatively, Diablo 1 vanilla from GoG still has bnet support if you wish to experience authentic 20fps D1. You may need to port forward 6112 UDP however.
