The New Masonic Temple is a historic building in St. Louis, Missouri, built in 1926. Like many other buildings built for Freemason meeting places, it shows Classical Revival architecture. Named a city landmark in 1976, the 386,000-square-foot building stands 185 feet high and encloses more than six million cubic feet.

Jan 1, 2015 · Owners of the New Masonic Temple on Lindell Boulevard in Midtown St. Louis hope the New Year brings renewed interest in the building, which is for sale. Building manager John Vollman has spent years volunteering at the space.

The Temple on Lindell was started in 1921 and dedicated on October 26, 1926, when the Order moved from the Odeon Theater building. The classic structure is designed in three receding stages which are symbolic of the three steps in Masonry.

Vollmann, now president of the St. Louis Masonic Temple Association, took pride in helping to care for the landmark building that served as the Masons regional home since 1926. The building at 3681 Lindell housed several historic artifacts as well, including beautiful marble features, handcrafted Emil Frei windows, and papers from President Truman.
