Local floodplains are mapped by or for the Pinal County Flood Control District to assess flood hazards affecting citizens and property. Development in locally mapped floodplains must meet the same standards as if it were built in a FEMA floodplain.

Pinal County GIS data approved for distribution is made available to government agencies and the public.

The flood zone data is based on the most current Flood Insurance Rate Maps of Pinal County and is believed to be accurate and reliable. The FEMA maps are updated regularly and a parcel's zone designation or flood depth can change at any time.
