May 29, 2013 · The Coasters continued touring with a lineup fronted by Gardner and including Ronnie Bright, Jimmy Norman, and guitarist Thomas “Curley” Palmer, from El Paso, Texas.

Jul 4, 2017 · Adolph Jacobs left in 1959 to be replaced by Albert “Sonny” Forriest who left in 1961 to be replaced by Thomas “Curley” Palmer. Carl Gardner and Billy Guy stayed till 2005 and 1973 respectively.

Ronnie Bright, who sang the bass part for 41 years, retired in 2009 and the group now consists of Carl Gardner Jr (tenor, baritione), Primo Candelara (baritone), J.W. Lance (tenor), "Fast" Eddie Whitfield (bass) and Thomas "Curley" Palmer (their guitarist since 1962).

The true Coasters by-then touring lineup, still fronted by Carl Gardner, included Norman, Bright, and veteran guitarist Thomas Palmer - born in El Paso, Texas on August 15, 1929, who had joined the group already in early 1962 (debuting on the notorious THE CLIMB). This became the longest lasting lineup, touring for 18 years.
